Eugene and Niel both come from humble beginnings in Manila.
Early in their careers, they worked as professionals remotely supporting international businesses, gaining firsthand experience in the world of remote work. In their 30s, after building successful corporate careers, they felt called to create something of their own. In 2018, they took a leap of faith — leaving their jobs and investing their life savings to found Crafty Simon in Melbourne.
What began as a freight services company grew with the support of talented remote professionals from the Philippines, whose care, skill, and dedication played a meaningful role in the growth of their business. Having experienced both sides — as remote talents and as business owners in Australia — Eugene and Niel developed a deep understanding of what makes remote teams successful.
Today, Crafty Simon is expanding into the virtual assistance space, helping Australian small and medium businesses access skilled Filipino talents through a structured, ethical, and professionally managed service model.

Crafty Simon is proudly run by a team with deep Filipino roots and a commitment to Filipino workers.
To help Australian businesses grow with high-quality Filipino talent through a lean, people-first model that creates better outcomes on both sides.
To be the trusted partner for Australian businesses, known for exceptional service and for creating meaningful, sustainable careers for Filipino professionals.
We advocate for a life outside work. We understand that every team member has their own life events. We personalised work schedules so our people don’t have to choose between their personal priorities and their professional responsibilities. When adjustments are needed, we are ready to adapt.
We believe in fair pay. Our team members are compensated justly for their hard work and contributions, with rates designed to be competitive and aligned with their needs. We ensure our people feel genuinely appreciated. It’s not just good business, it’s the right thing to do.
We foster a supportive, open environment where people feel valued and empowered to contribute—balancing a relaxed culture with professionalism so our team can thrive.
We’re also committed to doing things the right way. As an ethical provider, we comply with both Australian and Philippine regulations, paying taxes in both countries and contributing to the Philippine economy.

At Crafty Simon, we deeply value the skill and integrity of our team—and Naori exemplifies both. A dedicated member of our team since 2021, he has spent over four years consistently going above and beyond in service of our clients.
Punctual, proactive, and committed to constant improvement, Naori’s growth mirrors our shared commitment to excellence. His dedication isn’t just recognized internally—it’s regularly praised by our clients.
During our routine “How Are You” check-in calls, clients across logistics, retail, and e-commerce frequently commend Naori for his responsiveness, problem-solving, and unwavering support.
Here’s what some of our valued clients have said:
Naori’s dedication and impact are exactly what Crafty Simon stands for: empowering businesses to thrive while creating sustainable remote job opportunities that improve lives.
